Everything you need to know about PickMySeat
What is PickMySeat?
PickMySeat is an AI-powered TNEA seat predictor. Enter your 12th marks and get predictions on which colleges and branches you're likely to get, based on 2021–2025 TNEA allotment data.
Is PickMySeat affiliated with TNEA or Anna University?
No. We are an independent platform using publicly available TNEA historical data. For official counselling, always refer to tneaonline.org.
How accurate are the predictions?
Predictions are based on 5 years of real TNEA allotment data (2021–2025) trained on 6 lakh+ student records. They are probability estimates, not guarantees — actual allotments depend on rank, seat availability, and competition each year.
How is TNEA aggregate calculated?
Maths + (Physics ÷ 2) + (Chemistry ÷ 2). Maximum is 200.
Can I change my marks after saving?
Marks are locked after first submission. Premium users can update marks once for ₹25 after board results are out.
Why are my marks locked?
To prevent gaming predictions. Marks lock ensures predictions are based on your real scores.
What does the probability percentage mean?
It's the likelihood of getting a seat in that college-branch combo based on your rank vs historical closing ranks.
What is closing rank?
The rank of the last student allotted to that college-branch-community combination in a given year.
Why does my community matter?
TNEA has separate seats for OC, BC, BCM, MBC, SC, SCA, ST. Closing ranks differ by community — your prediction is based on your specific community's historical data.
Why is a course not showing for a college?
We only show courses that had actual allotments in 2021–2025. Newly added courses with no historical data won't appear.
What's free on PickMySeat?
One free prediction without signup — enter marks, pick 1 college and 1 course. Registered (free) users get 5 colleges × 3 courses = 15 combo predictions.
What does Premium (₹149) give me?
Rank prediction, AI-ordered Choice List, Full TNEA Counselling Simulation, unlimited college search, and the ability to update marks for ₹25 after board results.
Is ₹149 a one-time payment?
Yes. One-time, lifetime access. No subscription.
Can I get a refund?
Payments are non-refundable once prediction access is granted. Contact support.pickmyseat@gmail.com for payment issues.
Is payment secure?
Yes. Payments are processed via Razorpay with bank-level encryption.
What is the Counselling Simulation?
A step-by-step mock of the real TNEA counselling portal — status page, choice filling, allotment result, and provisional order. It's for practice only, not connected to actual TNEA.
The simulation allotted me a college — is that my actual seat?
No. It's a simulation only. Your actual allotment will be on tneaonline.org.
Can I rely on PickMySeat for my final college choice?
PickMySeat is a reference tool to help you understand your chances. Always cross-check with official TNEA data and consult your school or parents before finalising your choice list.
Why might my actual result differ from the prediction?
TNEA allotments depend on the total number of applicants, new colleges or branches added, seat matrix changes, and competition from that year's student pool — all of which can shift closing ranks year to year.
PickMySeat predicted I'd get a seat but I didn't. Why?
Predictions are based on historical data and are probabilistic in nature. A 70% probability still means a 30% chance of not getting that seat. We strongly recommend adding safer options with higher probabilities to your choice list.
What happens when the 2026 rank list is released?
Enter your Application ID and rank to verify against the official list. Predictions then use your real rank instead of a predicted one — making them significantly more accurate.
Where do I find my Application ID?
It's in your TNEA registration confirmation or on tneaonline.org after logging in.
I forgot my password. What do I do?
Click 'Forgot password?' on the login page. A reset link will be sent to your email.
Can I use one account for multiple students?
No. One account per student. Each account has one set of marks and predictions.
